Day 2 - We spent the day shopping at Concord Mills Mall and Bass ProShop. Kyle stocked up on fishing supplies and the kids got new spring and summer clothes. The hotel had an indoor pool so we spent the evening there before having pizza delivered to the room. It was a nice lazy evening.
Day 3 - We went to Carowinds Amusement Park in Charlotte. The weather was great - 88 degrees w/ a nice breeze. Addie was (barely) tall enough to ride a few big rollar coasters. Her favorite one went upside down 4 times!! (Yes, her Daddy rode w/ her while Jace and I enjoyed some milder thrill rides... Lazytown Helicoptors, Little Bill boats, etc) The kids were front row in the Dora the Exployer sing-a-long show. Jace was so excited to see Dora, Diego, Boots and Swiper.
That evening we headed towards Union, SC ~ stopping at Prime Outlet Malls in Gaffney, SC to do some more shopping.
Day 4 - We went to Chris's 4-wheeler race. It was a rainy morning. Thankfully Chris's factory supporters have a semi truck w/ a HUGE canopy that we were able to hang out under in Pro-row. We were able to stay dry, but the kids were itching to get in the mud! (Which they were able to do after the race.) The rain held off during the race. Chris finished 9th out of over 300 racers. He was pretty happy considering he has had equipment problems all season... and even this race he didn't get a fast start and finished with his frame completely broken in half. Cam-Am is learning the hard way how hard Chris races.

(This was a pic taken at the start of the race. Jace was on Kyle's
Uncle Tim Lancaster's shoulder. He drove up from Georgia.)

The kids were excited to see Chris. They hadn't seen him since Christmas. We sat in the stands for a while watching a section of the race and every 4-wheeler that would go through.. Jace would ask "Is that Chris? Is that Chris? Is that Chris?" Now, remember there were over 300 other riders!!! It cracked us up! I do have to admit, races are a million times better for Kyle and I without the kids. We can't get as close to the action with them there, we can't cover as much of the track and I am constantly worried that they will get hurt.
The fun in the mud starting after the race.
Day 5 - We stayed Saturday night in a hotel w/ a jacuzzi in our room so the kids played Sunday morning in their own "pool". Before heading back to WV Sunday evening.
It was a nice little get-a-way!
